Arthur Rackham In Sussex – 150th Birthday Celebration

I worked in partnership with the Sussex Centre for Folklore, Fairy Tales and Fantasy and the National Trust to produce a number of research led responses to the work of Arthur Rackham as part of a series of events celebrating the 150th birthday of the great artist from the Golden Age of Illustration. Held at BATEMAN’S, the Jacobean home of Rudyard Kipling, an art exhibition showcased original works by Arthur Rackham, alongside a number of my responses to his work.

As well as exhibiting my artwork, I also conducted a number of public lectures and workshops. Please see details below.

Launch Day! Impromptu talks throughout the day at Bateman’s & Private View.

Symposium: Presented my research led responses to the work of Rackham as part of an International panel of speakers.

Workshops: “Drawing Creatively” at National Trust, Bateman’s

Workshops: “Painting with Egg Tempera Taster Session”

Lecture at Arundel Museum: “Contemporary Responses: Echoes of Arthur Rackham in the 21st Century”
